North Korean conflict
North Korea & Army.
North Korea is a communist country ran by Pak Pong-Ju who is a dictator. North Korea has always been a communist country. Back in 1950 there was the Korean War. The United states had joined in to help protect South Korea and keep them from falling to communism. We felt that we needed to protect them so that the domino affect didn't happen. The media played somewhat of a role in this war, but not as much as it has today. The current problem going on in North Korea is that they have gotten a new leader who is younger and threatening to start problems again and they have nuclear missiles that they are threatening to shoot off. They are looking to shoot at South Korea, Japan, and they threaten to shoot at America. North Korea does not have the capabilities to reach the United States yet. We feel threatened because we have military bases in South Korea and we need to protect our own troops and allies. This story has been constantly updated by the media everyday. The media has covered this conflict very well. They are able to help us know what is going on since it is half way across the world. Tensions continue to rise and nobody is very sure what will happen here in the very near future between America and North Korea.
How do the actions of North Korea effect us right now and here in the future?
The media is keeping us all updated on what is going on and what is expected to happen here soon. North Korea is causing everyone to be on edge and not sure what to expect to happen. Nobody really wants to go to war right now; people are "warred out" so to speak. Everybody wants to get out of the current war we are in and we couldn't afford to go to another war if that was what it came to. Everybody here in the United States is still going about living their lives and not having to worry about North Korea attacking our homeland any time soon. The American people are looking to the future to see what may come from this. The media helps provide us with the up to date reports from our government and the reporters. We are still able to get all our information from the TV on the news, but now we are also able to get it through our phones and computers. We are starting to enter a new era of technology that helps us with communication.
