TV Monument
We chose to put our monument in Orlando, Florida outside of the Disney World gates. We bought a piece of land that we will use to put our life size TV there where it will have eight different pictures on it. Each picture will be of the eight different topics that we have talked about and how they have been impacted by the media. The monument will be a large TV where people can stop and get out and learn about how the media and TV has impacted our society and world we live in today. The TV will scroll through the images that will have a brief statement of each and they will each be up for about 20 seconds. This will help people better understand how media has played a big role in America. We chose to put the monument outside of Disney World because Walt Disney is the first person that played a large impact on spreading important information by using the television. Even though most of his clips were not shown on a home television they were shown on movie screens while the rest were shown on home TVs. This is just another way to help the American people understand the history of America better.
